What happens if I'm hit by an uninsured driver?

If the driver has stopped at the scene, you should try to collect as much information as possible including their name, address and telephone number.

If you're involved in an accident with an uninsured driver and it's not your fault, you won't have to pay any excess if you're able to provide us with the following details:
- Driver's name
- Driver's address
- The other vehicle registration number.
Don't worry if you don't have these details, you'll still be able to make a claim with us, but you'll have to pay your excess and the claim could be classed as 'non-recoverable'.
Any claim you make with an uninsured driver involved, could affect your No Claims Discount.
