How do I know if my car is safe to drive after an accident?

Your car's not roadworthy if one or more of the following has happened:
- Your wheels are damaged or unattached to your vehicle
- Your airbags have deployed
- Your windscreen is broken
- Your headlights are not working
- There's underside damage, e.g. your catalytic convertor is damaged or missing
- Your driver's side wing mirror isn't usable
- Your car's rolled over or the roof's been damaged or cut off
If your car isn't drivable, or you feel your car is not safe to drive, and you need recovery following an accident, you can call 0800 085 8533 and our service provider will arrange recovery straight away. Once you and your family are home safe, contact us to discuss making a claim.
