What information do I need to get from the other driver(s) if I'm involved in an accident?

Ideally you should take a note of:

• the driver's name and address, telephone number, email address or any other contact information available
• the registration number
• the make and model of the vehicle
• the names and contact details of any witnesses

If possible you should also take pictures of the damage to each vehicle. This may help us prove what happened and who was involved.

The most important thing though is that you and your family or passengers are alright and in a safe location before you collect any of this information. If anyone isn't alright, you should contact the emergency services immediately.
