What is meant by “subsidence, heave or landslip” damage?
Subsidence is damage to your home caused by the gradual caving in or sinking of an area of land. Heave damage is damage to your home caused by the upward movement of the land supporting it. Landslip damage is damage to your home caused by the movement of land down a slope. Unfortunately we don't insure buildings that have been affected by subsidence, heave or landslip damage, but we can provide contents insurance for them.
