What is PIKL and what does it do?
In partnership with esure, PIKL is a company that specialises in host insurance for those letting property on a short-term basis on platforms like Airbnb.
It provides:
- Cover starts from £29.99 for a room-only, 30-day property host policy.
- There is also cover available for periods of up to 1 year and cover for both, room-only and whole properties.
- This is an insurance product that works with an existing home insurance policy to cover hosting activities
- Provides cover for guest-related incidents. These will be things like:
- Fire caused by a paying guest
- Injuries to paying guests
- Theft by a paying guest
- There is also cover available for periods of up to 1 year and cover for both, room-only and whole properties.
This cover looks to fill the gap you may have when using your property for hosting activities that your normal Home Insurance won’t cover.
This will be additional insurance to your current Home Insurance policy.
